if the unexpected happens...
We hope you never get in a car accident, but if you do, bodywork can help you get better faster, and now we can usually provide it at no out-of-pocket cost to you. Throughout your recovery, we carefully document your treatment and submit detailed reports to your auto insurance company. We're also happy to provide copies of these reports to your doctor if you wish. We look forward to helping you feel better soon.
why bodywork?Even minor car accidents can lead to chronic pain or headaches over the years if not properly treated initially. By assisting blood and lymph circulation, massage helps the injured areas heal. The calming effects of massage also promote the body’s natural ability to get back to a state of balance after shock.
Trauma creates “splinting,” which is when muscles contract to hold joints and limbs stable to protect against injury. After the incident, the body often forgets to release these tight, painful muscles. Therapeutic massage reminds the body that it can let go of its holding pattern, allowing a thorough, long-lasting recovery. A series of treatments will have a better result than just one or two sessions. As massage moves your body through the healing process, contracted muscles release, range of motion improves, and scar tissue formation is prevented. Massage therapy can complement the care you’re also getting from chiropractic or physical therapy treatment. You have the right to choose your massage therapist, and we hope you choose us. We are professional and independent. We’re also down-to-earth and approachable. We only do bodywork. And we're very good at what we do. things to knowWe must have verification of your auto insurance coverage prior to your first visit. If you book a session and ask the therapist afterwards about billing your auto insurance, you'll have to pay out of pocket for that session – and any further sessions – until we've verified your coverage and seen you for a formal evaluation of your injury.
Only certain massage therapists at WSW are trained for medical massage and documentation. If you choose to bill auto insurance, you may only book with these trained therapists. You are responsible for paying for your sessions if your insurance company declines to pay, ceases coverage, or only pays a partial amount. If you miss an appointment without giving us 24 hour notice, you are responsible for paying our 50% missed appointment charge, since we cannot bill your insurance company for that. |
getting startedWe've got a little homework for you (sorry!):
1. You'll need a prescription for massage from your doctor or chiropractor. Be sure the prescription indicates a diagnosis code (ICD-10). 2. To bill your auto insurance directly, we need to ask you to verify your coverage prior to your first visit. Please call your insurance company to get the answers to the questions on the form below. Then mail or fax it back to us (our email isn't secure for health info). If you've hired a lawyer, please indicate that on the same form.
3. After receiving your form, we'll give you a call to set up your initial visit. Please bring your prescription for massage.
4. Please note: your initial auto insurance visit cannot be booked online. |
"Chastity is an excellent provider and was able to work on the areas I needed the most, with the right amount of pressure while still making me feel comfortable and relaxed! I have been getting massages for the last 25 years on a regular basis and Chastity is without a doubt in the top 2 or 3!"
